A handcrafted raku-fired plate by Danish ceramic artist Dorte Visby, characterized by its raw surface and softly irregular edge. The firing process gives the clay its deep charcoal tone, with subtle metallic traces appearing across the textured surface.
Each plate varies slightly in shape, tone and finish, making every piece unique.

About Dorte Visby
Dorte Visby is a Danish ceramic artist working from her studio by the cliffs of Lønstrup on Denmark’s west coast, where the raw surrounding landscape informs her approach to material, form and surface. Rooted in traditional pottery, her work moves between functional ceramics and one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces.
