The Castore Lounge Table is a refined evolution of the original dining table designed by Italian architect, sculptor, and designer Angelo Mangiarotti in 1975 for Sorgente dei Mobili. Reissued by Karakter, this version maintains the same 130 cm diameter, now presented at a lower height, making it ideal for lounge and living spaces.
True to Mangiarotti’s vision, the round glass top rests effortlessly on a solid marble pillar. A small marble bowl appears to secure the glass in place—an illusion that adds to the sculptural appeal. With softened, rounded edges on both the pillar and bowl, the design balances visual weight with a sense of calm. The bowl can be removed and used separately, though its presence reflected in the glass enhances the table’s harmonious form.

Returns
