Collection: Karin Ambo

Karin Ambo discovered her passion for clay unexpectedly, after years of working with form and structure. Her work explores soft, organic shapes within a minimalist aesthetic. By combining different types of clay, she creates tactile surfaces using slips and stains applied like watercolors on canvas.

Her pieces are built using a mix of hand-building techniques—from freehand modeling to Kurinuki. This fusion brings a unique character to each form. Once constructed, Karin often disrupts the shape, challenging the balance between structure and expression.
