Collection: Katrine Blinkenberg
Katrine Blinkenberg is a self-taught sculptor working primarily with plaster and clay. With a background in theology, she was ordained in 2010 and spent over a decade serving as a vicar and army chaplain before transitioning fully to art and teaching in 2022.
Her practice is shaped by surrealism and explores intuitive, process-driven creation—what she calls “automatic creation.” Inspired by the techniques of automatic writing, her sculptural work embraces chance, subconscious impulses, and the rejection of control or perfection. Themes of theology and existential inquiry remain central throughout her work, echoing her past while grounding her artistic voice in the present.
