Knud Basse, a Danish ceramist, is the designer behind the iconic Rosethorn table lamp. The lamp was produced for Michael Andersen & Sons, a pottery company founded in the 1880s on Bornholm, Denmark, which was one of the major centers of Danish pottery production during the 19th and 20th centuries. The Rosethorn table lamp has since become a collectible piece of Mid-Century Danish design.
