Anne Hardy’s works use simple, essential materials to create landscapes where the mind and world meet. Survival Spell, a curved line of dirt on the floor, holds fragments within its fragile boundaries. Delicate and temporary, it radiates a quiet energy that both invites and resists disturbance.
Created during her 2022 residency at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, Hardy used local earth, recorded melting snow, and gathered discarded objects, transforming them into forms that resonate beyond their material presence.
