Dedicated to their two-year-old daughter, June is a tender collaboration between photographer Annemarieke van Drimmelen and painter Jasper Krabbé. Created on the Greek island of Hydra, the work reimagines a child’s unspoiled gaze, capturing the small, intimate details that their daughter pointed out on walks—like animal shapes in wire or faces hidden in crumbling walls.

Van Drimmelen’s photographs are transformed by Krabbé’s painted overlays and poetic collages, creating hybrid images that evoke a “third person”—a shared artistic voice. This unique interplay of photography and painting is a heartfelt exploration of innocence, creativity, and the magic of seeing the world through a child’s eyes.
