This tapestry pays tribute to Eduardo Chillida’s Gravitaciones—a series of sculptural paper works that explored lightness, tension, and suspension. In Gravitación Ink 1991, Chillida layered cut paper to create spatial reliefs where shadows and voids played a central role.

Translating this into textile form, the tapestry captures the same sense of depth and movement. Crafted using ancestral techniques in New Zealand wool and varying pile heights, the result reflects Chillida’s vision of suspended fragments—where light, material, and form are held in quiet balance.

Made from 100% New Zealand wool — exceptionally soft, naturally white, and cruelty-free. Its fine texture comes from high-altitude grazing and pure environmental conditions. These rugs are hand-knotted on vertical looms, using a guiding rod to ensure precise rows, defined form, and lasting durability.
