Bauhaus Pendant Lamp | HMB 25/300
Marianne Brandt collaborated with Hans Przyrembel in designing various lamps, a strategic move to support the Bauhaus School economically. These lamps, crafted in their own workshop, were utilized in the Bauhaus workshops, including the iconic HMB 25/300 hanging lamp, featuring Marianne Brandt's distinctive hemispherical shade. Furthermore, the lamp's height can be adjusted using a pendulum and counterweight.
To reproduce these historical lamps, Tecnolumen meticulously consulted catalogues and studied original models, ultimately opting for a nickel-plated version due to its lasting appeal. The lampshade's edge was updated for stability, while other components were faithfully reconstructed, maintaining the lamp's timeless charm. Available in different sizes and finishes, each lamp proudly carries the Tecnolumen/Bauhaus logo, representing its unique connection to Bauhaus heritage.
Marianne Brandt was a German multifaceted artist, painter, sculptor, photographer, and designer working in metal. Her iconic designs, including the DMB 26 lamp, are now showcased at prestigious art institutions like MOMA in New York and the British Museum in London, solidifying her status as one of the most prominent Bauhaus artists of her time.
