Designed by Stefan Wewerka in collaboration with Tecta in 1982, the B5 is the first one-legged cantilever chair. Formed from a single 3.3m steel pipe bent into six identical radii, its sculptural frame supports an upholstered seat and backrest. A bold expression of asymmetry and innovation, the B5 emerged through a series of experimental prototypes—blending comfort with a radical design gesture.
