Tadaima
Japanese Rice Bowl

Description

Tadaima presents a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, located east of Kyōto. The area is included as one of Japan’s six old kilns – being said to have a history of 1260 years. In 1976 Shigaraki-yaki was designated a traditional craft in Japan. These handcrafted Japanese bowls are the perfect size for rice or soup. A mixture of muted tones from brown, to grey and purple, appear due to the kiln firing process. As every bowl is handcrafted, each is unique and will differ slightly from piece to piece.
