Tadaima
Japanese Brushed Rice Bowl

Description

Tadaima presents a collection of Japanese ceramics by a third-generation Shigaraki-yaki maker, located east of Kyōto. The area is included as one of Japan’s six old kilns – being said to have a history of 1260 years. In 1976 Shigaraki-yaki was designated a traditional craft in Japan. These handcrafted Japanese bowls are the perfect size to prepare and whisk matcha, or for serving rice, and smaller side dishes. The organic fluid-like brushed glaze can be found on both the inside and outside of the cup. As every cup is handcrafted, each is unique and will differ slightly from piece to piece.
