Kollektion: Henning Tais Hedin
Henning Tais Hedin is a Danish visual artist shaped by a creative upbringing—his mother a sculptor, his father an architect. He began exhibiting in 1970 with the meditative sculpture Solmanden at Den Frie, after several years at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture. Gradually, sculpture became his main practice.
Hedin draws inspiration from ancient cultures—particularly the simplicity and stylization of Mayan art. His work seeks to distill form to its essence, arriving at a kind of archetypal shape through abstraction and reduction.
